Hi! My name is Cecilia and I am married to Mark. We live in Johannesburg,South Africa, having just moved into an old house in an established suburb in the heart of the city. We just had a baby girl, Hannah, who is now three and a half months old.
We love Jozi, and living within walking distance from 'everything' helps!
I am an architect, but am currently on maternity leave, figuring this motherhood thing out.
We are looking forward to the 360º Energy Diet. We are hoping it will incentivize us to make changes in our lifestyle for the good of our community and our health.

Pershendetje, and greetings from Kosovo! I’m British but I’ve lived here for 5 years, along with my partner, Rob. Together we run a charitable NGO, The Ideas Partnership, which works on educational, environmental and cultural heritage projects. During my time in Kosovo I’ve milked my first cow, drunk my first proper cup of coffee, and smoked my first cigar. I’ve also become a beekeeper (and written a book about it, Travels in Blood and Honey; becoming a beekeeper in Kosovo)

McGrath Family

We are a young family from Clarington, Ontario in Canada. We have four children ages 6, 4, 2, and 'new' (4 months) and are passionate about conserving energy, reducing waste and especially being resourceful when it comes to making eco-sustainable changes. Somebody once told me it was "environmentally irresponsible to have more than one child," but I say children are our future and if we can instill in them strong values to be responsible stewards of the world around them, then we have hope.

Monia

We are Monia, 31, and Tiago, 35. We've just became parents of a 5-month-old baby girl, Ines, and as if we weren't having enough fun, we decided to join this energy challenge.
Tiago owns a company for market studies and I work in a translation office as a technical translator. We live near Lisbon, the best city to ride a bike if you really want to lose some weight. After all, it only has seven hills!
Nonetheless, our perfect lifestyle would involve riding to work on a bike and sharing an urban garden plot near home. But the real situation is slightly different: I have to drive 30 kilometers (18 miles) to the office every day and cannot grow anything but parsley and coriander on our balcony… Oh well, we'll all try to grow together during the next eight challenging weeks.

We live on The Isle of Islay, a Hebridean island off the west coast of Scotland. There are three people in my family. My daughter, Armelie, is 7, she is independent, artistic, lively and loves life on the Island. My partner James is a photographer. Me: I work at Islay High, a small secondary school with just over 200 pupils. I teach geography, which means I spend my life enthusing young people about the wonders of the planet and the consequences of our actions on it.

Zong Yu Dorm

I’m a Chinese woman living in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, which is in the northeastern part of China. As a university student in Harbin Institute of Technology, I live together with my three roommates in the dormitory. Though we came from different cities, we’ve become good friends who share both the crowded space and most of the stories happening in each other’s lives, just like a family, which I consider as one of the luckiest things in college life. In my daily life, I spend most of my time reading, intellectually or casually chatting, appreciating art works, visiting new places and doing various sports, especially jogging and badminton. I’m aware of the energy shortage problem and happy to get access to this energy diet program.
